Sandra Eileen Coker Sims, 65, of Eva, passed away on December 27, 2020. She was born February 7, 1955, in Cullman County.

Mrs. Sims graduated Holly Pond High School in 1973, and went on to become a CNA, most recently employed with Summerford Nursing Home. Sandra retired November 24, of this year, and was looking forward to spending time with her family. Sandra enjoyed spending time with her boyfriend and always looked forward to a night out. She also enjoyed the outdoors and loved to explore a nature trail. Mrs. Sims was an adoring mother and grandmother, and she was blessed with three children and several grandchildren.

Sandra is preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Louise Kretzschmar Absher and stepfather, Ray Absher.

She is survived by her boyfriend, Joseph Collins; son, Quinton Sims (Chonsea); daughters, Virgilia Woodard and Veronica Sims; sisters, Luann Beene and Diane Freeman; her grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services for Sandra are 1 p.m., Saturday, January 2, 2021, in the Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel, Joey Coots and David Carroll officiating. Burial will follow services in Garden City Cemetery where Quinton Sims, Tim Shedd, Anthony Freeman, Tyler Hamby, Trevor Hamby, and Marcus Hyatt will serve as pallbearers. Friends are invited to visit with the family an hour prior to services, from 12 noon until services begin, at the funeral home.
