Delores Jean Ross, 85, of Topeka passed away at Stormont Vail Hospital on Sunday, December 27, 2020. She was born December 29, 1934 in Topeka the daughter of John V. and Lucille Pusch. Delores was raised in Topeka and graduated from Topeka High School in 1953. She met John Davis Ross and they were married in 1954 at the chapel at Forbes Air Force Base. John served in the Air Force and they lived in Florida, California and Arizona before he retired and they moved back to Topeka in 1973. Delores lived in her home north of Topeka until moving to the Rossville Health Care Center three years ago. She enjoyed bowling, traveling, going to the casino, playing cards and the Christmas Holiday season. She was a big fan of the Royals and the KU basketball team. Her favorite snack was Oatmeal Cream Pies, and her favorite color was red. But her biggest enjoyment in life was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her grandchildren, two brothers, and 11 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four children, Jack Ross, Timothy Ross, Lori Ross, and Jeanene Timmons; her parents; and two grandchildren, Sean McLaughlin and Melvin Timmons.

Cremation is planned. Delores will be inurned at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery at Manhattan next to her husband.
