Dorothy P. Byrd, 85, of Grifton, passed away December 21, 202 at UNC Lenoir.

A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, January 3, 2021, at noon at Spirit of Life Church, 1521 Airport Rd, Kinston, NC.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Lee Byrd, a daughter, Ginger Meeks and several siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Janice Harman and husband, Ricky, three grandchildren, Alyssa Harman, Lee Meeks and wife, Emily and Brook Meeks and companion, Seth Cowles. She also leaves behind two great grandchildren, Silas and Micah Cowles.
