Born on August 18, 1954 in Keyser, WV, he was a son of the late Roy Samuel "Bud" and Leavada (Ferrebee) Allen. He also was preceded in death by a brother, James Camden Allen.
Buddy spent 16 years in the United States Army and then went to work for the Internal Revenue Service in Martinsburg, WV for 30 years, retiring on September 1, 2020.
Buddy was loved and will be missed by all of his family and friends.
Surviving are his brother, Rev. Paul Allen and wife Judy of Keyser; a sister, Judy (Allen) Parker and husband James of Luke, MD; several nephews which include Jonathan Allen, who served as Buddie's excellent caregiver and friend and Chris and Aaron Allen who also helped with his care; Ellen, his great friend who spent hundreds of hours also helping with his care and a special niece, Tammy who Buddy helped to raise. Also surviving are two special friends, Patsy Starkey and Freda.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Saturday, January 2, 2021 from 6-9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Donald Smith officiating. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, face masks and the observance of all social distancing guidelines are required.
Private interment will be in the Ferrebee Family Cemetery, Tucker Ridge Road, New Creek, WV.
