He attended Advance and Wells schools and was a 1960 graduate of Granville Wells High School.
Mr. Barton was employed for periods at Herff-Jones in Indianapolis, Lebanon Industries, and in Max operated his own lawn repair business. The past twenty-five years he was employed at Batts, Inc. in Advance, until he retired in 1999. He entered Parkwood Health Care Center about eight years ago.
Survivors include a brother, Harry Barton, Greenwood, and a nephew, Byron Barton, Lebanon, and two nieces, Michelle Summers, Lebanon, and Crystal Clark, Whitestown.
