Ruby Steele, age 91, of Crestview passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2020. She was born on September 2, 1929 to Della and Bob Elliott in Rock Creek, Florida. She was member of 1st Assembly of God in Crestview. She loved gardening, flowers, and going to yard sales. She enjoyed getting cards from her friends and family and would display them all around her home. She worked for Okaloosa County School Board as a lunch room attendant for Crestview High School. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry “Hankins” Steele; and her eight siblings.
Ruby was survived by her sons, Lyndon Settles and Ron Settles; daughter, Denise Glover; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and 3 great great-grandchildren with one on the way.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Live Oak Baptist Church Cemetery beginning at 12:00pm.
