A Graveside Funeral service for John Neil Tune, 94, of Williston, SC will be held at two o’clock p.m., Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at the Williston Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery. Due to the current pandemic and the CDC regulations, social distancing and other guidelines will be in place. Memorial contributions may be sent to The Williston Cemetery, P.O. Box 367, Williston, SC 29853. Mr. Tune passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2020.

Born in Townley, AL, he was a son of the late Frank Tune and Lera Zula Tate Tune and was married to the late Lounette Bostick Tune for 44 years. He was a graduate of Brilliant High School in Brilliant, AL; John was a member of the Williston United Methodist Church. He retired having worked as a Reactor Operator for E.I. DuPont at the Savannah River Site. John was a founding member of the Williston Country Club, was an avid golfer, and was a Mason. John was a U. S. Navy Veteran having served in the South Pacific during World War II.

Survivors include his daughters Janice Tune (Bill) Kramer of Lakeland, FL and Cindy Keys of Hendersonville, NC; his sons John (Cheryl) Tune and Sam (Sandra) Tune all of Williston, SC; a sister Jane (Johnny) Marshall of Athens, AL; his grandchildren Jonathan Kramer, Justin (Clare) Kramer, Samantha Kramer, Brenden Kramer, Brad (Nicole) Tune, Bryan (Cheyne) Tune, Joshua (Christie) Tune, Jeremy (Lindsay) Croft; 13 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, Lounette Tune, he was preceded in death by a son Ronald Neil “Ronnie” (Gail) Tune, son-in-law Donnie Keys, and his brothers Frank Tune, Jr. and Billy Joe Tune [died in 2001].
