CRESAPTOWN- Mary E. (Davis) Chaney,91, of Cresaptown passed away on Monday, December 28, 2020 at UPMC Western Maryland.
Mary was born on June 17, 1929 in Frostburg to Vesta C. (Bowman) and Clarence Franklin Davis.
She is also preceded in death by her husband, Lee “Junior” Chaney who died in 1996, and brothers, William Davis and Franklin C. Davis. Mary was protestant by faith. She had attended the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Cumberland. She was a homemaker. Mary is survived by a son, Robert Chaney and wife Sharon, TN; grandchildren Robert Chaney and Lillian Jean Whitson, 12 great-grandchildren, sister, Betty Chapin, FL; half- sisters, Thelma (Davis) Skidmore and Bertha Viola (Davis) Burkett, sister- in -law, Shirley Robinson and husband Richard, Cresaptown; nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends, Faye Watts and Martha Robison.
Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home on Thursday, December 31, 2020 from 10 -11 a. m. with funeral services beginning at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Harold McClay, Jr. officiating.
Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
