Dorothea Jeanette Arnold, age 91, of Cornwall, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Cornwall Manor Health Center surrounded by family.
Dorothea was the loving wife of Elijah Joseph Arnold, Jr. for 66 years and mother to Elijah Joseph (Ruth Ann) Arnold, III, Elizabeth Ann (Raymond) Wolfe, and Karen Marie (Joseph) Tice. She was preceded in death by a son Jeffery David Arnold. She had 5 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Born on February 28, 1929 in Cornwall, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Anthony Arnick, Sr. and Dorothy Edith (Boyer) Arnick. She is survived by siblings Patricia Bixler, Joan Arnick, and Kenneth Arnick. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph, Raphael, and Edmund, and five sisters, Ann Miller, Marguerite Fritz, Cecile Kessler, Katheen Arnick, and Virginia Shirk.
She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church and participated with the Legion of Mary. She graduated from Business College and worked as a secretary for Attorney Joseph Hill, Sr. and at Bethlehem Steel. She also worked at Leader Nursing Home in housekeeping. She was a Lebanon County 4-H leader and a member of Farm Woman Group 7. She was a farm wife for many years. She enjoyed cooking, baking, canning, knitting, crocheting and most of all spending time at family gatherings.
