Mr. Charlie L. Wiley, 90, of Swainsboro passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020 at his residence following an extended illness.

Mr. Wiley was born September 18, 1930 in Luverne, AL to George Wiley and Hattie Duncan Wiley.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Herman Wiley; sisters, Minnie Black, Fannie Boyd and Betty Adams.

Mr. Wiley retired from the army with 22 years of service. He was a retired heating and air conditioner technician.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Emma Wiley of Swainsboro; sons, Keith (Janie) Wiley and Michael Wiley, both of Copperas Cove, TX, Perry W. Wiley of Round Rock, TX, and Rene (Connie) Nesbitt of Augusta; daughters, Jennifer L. Wiley of Round Rock, TX, Zobera Ann Nesbitt of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Linda Nesbitt of Braxton, Debra Bell and Tera (Willie) Daniels, both of Swainsboro, and Joe Leschia (Ronald) Alston of Savannah; brother, George (Lula) Wiley of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; sister, Cora McLeod of Miami, FL; 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; 1 devoted great-grandson, Terell Wiley; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 31st at Swainsboro City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 5 to 7 pm Wednesday, December 30th in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home. Pallbearers are grandsons. In compliance with the guidelines set by the CDC, the six-feet rule will be enforced during visitation and service.
