OZONA - Patti Henry Jones of Ozona, Texas left this earth on Wednesday December 23, 2020. Graveside service will be held Monday December 28th, 2 p.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Ozona, Texas. Please respect social distancing and all other CDC guidelines. Funeral home will be open for visitation Sunday 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Kerbow Funeral Home, Ozona, Texas. Family will not be in attendance Sunday.
Patti was born May 29, 1945 in Gorman, Texas to Miller Ray and Fay Henry. Her early school years were spent in Rising Star, Texas before moving to Ozona and then Oklahoma where she graduated from Kingfisher High School in 1963. She then attended Southwest Texas College in San Marcos, Texas.
She married the love of her life, Johnny Jones, on August 27, 1966. They have two children, Amy Jones Newton and Todd Robert Jones. Patti enjoyed married life at the ranch until her children reached school age. Once life in town began, Patti's time as a business owner did too. Using her many talents, she brought bright, beautiful colors to Ozona through The Flower Pot, Maxine's Flowers, and The Cottage Collection. Patti was involved in any and every civic and community organization in Ozona. She loved her community and was never shy of leadership. Ozona Project Graduation exists because of her efforts. Her family was her greatest blessing. She loved hard and always made it known to those closest to her.
She is predeceased by both of her parents, her husband Johnny Jones, her granddaughter Chandler Michele Jones, and her nephew Brock Jones III.
She is survived by her children: Amy and Victor Newton; their children Taylor and Abby and Todd Robert Jones, Sherri Buckner, Carlee and Taylor Goree; her brother Ned Henry and his wife Julie; Their children Bailey Henry and Casey and Sam Porter; their daughter Hazel Fay, brother-in-law Brock Jones and wife Camille; sister-in-law Elizabeth Jones Upham and husband Randy. She is also survived by her cousin LaVon Snider and nieces and nephews: Margaret Jones Riquelmy and husband Josh; Chad Upham and wife Krista; Casey Upham and wife Jody; all of their families.
