Norma Jean Long was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at the age of 94. Born on July 15, 1926, in Dallas, Texas to James Perry and Mattie Mae Coleman.
Norma was proceeded in death by her husband, Robert N. Long and her parents. She is survived by her good friend whom she considered a daughter. Norma was a big part of the Valdez family and they referred to her as "Aunt Norma."
Norma met her husband Bob at American Security and Life and retired after 40 years of service. After retirement, she had a passion for gardening, painting, taking care of her pets and loved to sit and visit with friends every morning for breakfast at Whataburger. Norma was a long-time member of First Baptist Church and enjoyed attending Bible study and fellowship with her church community.
