Teresa Lynn Martin of Russellville succumbed after a 47-day fight with Covid-19 on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at the age of 59.

Services will be held at a later date.

Teresa was born in Little Rock, Ark. on July 18, 1961. She graduated from Dardanelle High School and earned her elementary education degree from Arkansas Tech University. She stayed at home raising her three children with great care and affection. She carried her nurturing spirit with her in her devotion to her coworkers for over 20 years at the Pope County EMS where she worked as office manager. She attended church her whole life where she often volunteered in the children’s and women’s ministries. She cared deeply for her friends and family both at work and in the community.

Teresa enjoyed riding her Honda motorcycle on trips with her husband, exploring the beautiful scenery across Arkansas and the United States. She was a great cook and passed down her knowledge of cooking to her family. She was an avid reader, as are her children thanks to her influence. She enjoyed puzzles and could beat anyone at card and board games. Teresa loved being “Tema” to her granddaughter, always finding opportunities to teach, imagine, explore, and tell creative stories. Teresa was a dear, lifelong friend to many, investing countless hours in encouraging, laughing, praying, and loving each one.

Teresa is survived by her devoted husband of 40 years, Donnie Joe Martin. She was a beloved mother to daughters, Kristen Martin of Springdale and Amy Martin of Conway, and son and daughter-in-law Jacob and Jenny Martin of Rogers. She had one treasured granddaughter, Kara Summey of Conway. She is also survived by her mother, Jenny Musko of Dardanelle, stepmother, Lillian Scott of Redfield, and brother and sister-in-law, David and Paula Scott of Dardanelle, and many other extended family members and friends. Teresa is preceded in death by her father, A J Scott, her stepfather, Larry Musko, and her sister, Tamra Henson.

The family asks everyone to be safe and follow prescribed Covid-19 guidelines to honor her memory.

Please, no flowers or gifts at this time. Arrangements are by Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
