Gladys Morrow Wilson, 98 of Gulf Breeze, Florida entered her Heavenly Home on Friday, December 25, 2020 surrounded by her loving family.
Gladys was born in Coffee County, Alabama on February 21, 1922 to Lewis Anderson and Ella Wood Anderson. At the young age of 18, Gladys married Samuel Morrow and moved to their new home in Pensacola, Florida. Gladys spent many years as homemaker until 1966 when she began working as a reservationist at the Holiday Inn on Pensacola Beach and later moved to Birmingham, Alabama in 1974 to an auditor and reservationist position at the Kahler Plaza and Brookwood Hospital. Gladys continued to work in the hospitality industry until she retired in 1983 and later relocated to Gulf Breeze, Florida.

Gladys was very involved in her community as a member of many organizations. She was a member of the Santa Rosa Shores Baptist Church, American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, Pensacola Beach Elks, Woodman of the World and Red Hats Society. She enjoyed crafting, painting and all types of needle work. She especially loved to create heirloom pieces for her family and friends.

Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Ella Anderson; husband(s) Samuel Morrow and Ralph Wilson; sisters Dixie Buck, Erie Rayburn, Ollie Stone; brothers Woodrow Anderson, Louis Anderson, Clyde Anderson; son, Joseph “Joe” Dwight Morrow and special friend, David Farrington. Gladys, who was known to many of her friends and family as “Ninny”, will be remembered as a quiet, kind, and loving person who lived all of her 98 years caring for others and making everyone feel deeply loved. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Morrow Jennings (Tim) of Lynn Haven, FL and grandson, Timothy “Joe” Jennings (Jennifer) of Panama City, FL.

A visitation will be held at Santa Rosa Baptist Church in Gulf Breeze, FL on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 12:00 pm with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 officiated by Pastor Bill Eddins. Burial will follow at Bayview Memorial Park, Scenic Highway, Pensacola, FL.

The family of Gladys Morrow Wilson wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at Covenant Care Hospice and many caring friends especially Nan, Beth and Doris who provided much love and support. A special thanks to the Covenant Care Providers Kelly, Libby, Maggie, Krystal, Greta and Dee for their compassion and care.
