Charles Ray Ashley, 94, of Vine Grove, KY passed away Sunday, December 27th after a brief stay at Signature Health Care in Radcliff.
Mr. Ashley was a member of the Vine Grove United Methodist Church and was a World War II Veteran having served in the United States Army. He was retired civil service, former Vine Grove City Council member and served 16 years as a Hardin County Magistrate.
Mr. Ashley was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn "Chevy" Quinn Ashley; his parents, the Rev. Earl E. Ashley & Cordelia Wesley Ashley; six siblings, Thomas Ashley, John Ashley, Orpha Allen, Grace Manley, Bob Ashley, Lulanell Hatcher; and a granddaughter, Jena Johnson.
Survivors include his three children, Chuck Ashley, Dean Ashley (Ann), Teresa King (Garry) all of Vine Grove, KY; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one sister, Pauline Lee and a host of family & friends.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY. Funeral services for Mr. Ashley will be held at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY with Rev. Dan Paddock officiating. A private graveside service will be held at North Hardin Memorial Gardens, Radcliff, KY.
