Dana Emelia "Mimi" (Larsen) Johnson, 95, passed away on Tuesday, 15 December 2020, at her Bountiful, Utah home.

Danna was born on 10 January 1925, in Gunnison, Utah to Peter Daniel and Rose Teresa Larsen and grew up on her parents' Gunnison valley ranch. When the Great Depression made it difficult for her father to continue farming, she moved with her parents to Salt Lake City, Utah, where more employment opportunities could be found.

Danna graduated from South High, where she had met the boy she would marry. Lester "Les" Johnson was smitten by Danna's beauty and the couple married later that year, on 18 August 1943. She and Les were a week shy of celebrating their 77th anniversary when he passed away.

Les was drafted into the U. S. Army Air Corps and served in WWII, so Danna found work and when she'd saved enough, followed her sweetheart to wherever he got stationed.

After the War, Les and Danna began their family. To them was born Leslie, Melvin, Adam, Claudia, and Steven. In addition to caring for their children, Danna also worked alongside Les as the executive secretary in the family's construction company.

At Christmastime, she locked herself in her bedroom where she sewed doll clothes and outfits for her children.

As a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Danna was a peacemaker. She received everyone with grace and compassion, and made each person feel accepted.

She and Les loved traveling and did so for many years. She always appreciated God's creations and the beauty and wonders of our world. Danna loved flowers and plants--especially roses.

Danna wad predeceased by her parents; sister, Carma Tessie (Larsen) Brown; sweetheart, Lester Johnson; and sons, Melvin and Adam Johnson.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Leslie (Reed) Richman, Claudia Gillian and Steven (Cyndi) Johnson, along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Danna's family appreciates the First Choice Home, Health & Hospice and, especially, Marie, for her assistance with Danna in her final days.
