Ronnie married Virginia “Jenny” Steele on February 4, 1967 at Blanchard. To this union two children were born, Faith and Heath. After serving in the Air Force for 4 years, Ronnie and Jenny made their home in Blanchard for the past 50 years.

Ronnie worked in the family business, Morton Plumbing and Electric, for a number of years after he completed his military service. In 1977, he started working for the US Postal Service as a rural mail carrier. He served 30 years as a carrier on Route One, Two, and Three.

Ronnie was a Baptist by faith. He served The First FWB church of Blanchard as deacon for 35 years.

After retirement, Ronnie enjoyed woodworking and building furniture for friends and family, and traveling throughout the United States and other countries with family.
