Obituary of Larry R. Barker
Larry R. Barker, 79 of Tecumseh, MI, passed away December 23, 2020 at Hickman Hospital in Adrian, MI. He was born February 2, 1941 in Ashland, KY, the son of Arvel and Fern (Edmund) Barker. Larry joined the Air Force in 1959 and served as a weatherman for 4 years. He married Linda Sue (Ward), his high school sweetheart, August 15, 1959. They were married for 61 years. Larry worked as an electrician at GM Hydra Matic/Powertrain in Ypsilanti until his retirement in January 2000. He loved fishing, boating, hunting, and spending the winters in Florida.

Larry is survived by his wife Linda, two daughters, Valerie (Doug) Daugherty of Empire, MI and Stacey Barker of Tecumseh, MI and son Larry Anthony (Anne) Barker of Canton. Also, a sister, Joyce Armstrong of Lady Lake Florida, a grandson, Christopher (Becca) Daugherty of Huntington Woods, MI, a niece and nephew, and several great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Larry will be held on Monday, December 28, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Tecumseh with Pastor Steve Kazer officiating and military rites conducted by the American Legion Post #34. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and social distancing regulations, only a limited number of individuals will be allowed in the chapel at a time and face coverings are required. A private graveside service will be held at Washtenong Memorial Park in Ann Arbor.
