Nancy Lee Black, age 64, of Drummond Island, Michigan, died on April 8, 2017 at Ball Hospice House in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. She was born August 10, 1952 in Sault Ste. Marie to Curtis Timothy and Margaret J. (Tolen) Anderson.

Nancy grew up on Drummond Island and attended elementary school on Drummond and then graduated from Detour High School in 1972. She married Ralph Black in 1973 on Drummond Island. They made their home and raised their two children on the Island. Ralph died in 2007 and Nancy continued to live on Drummond for the rest of her life.

Nancy belonged to Lighthouse Church and also the Tabernacle of David on Drummond Island.

Nancy enjoyed collecting knick knacks and especially trees of all sorts. She liked to crochet, make jewelry and other crafts, including all types of greeting cards. Nancy loved flowers and flower gardening, but nothing could come between her and her love for her dogs Izzy and Trevor.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Black; parents; and brother, Randy Anderson.
