Opal McClellan Palmertree
Opal McClellan Palmertree, 92, died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2005, at the Greenwood Leflore Hospital. She was a homemaker and a founding member of the Brownline Homemakers Club. She was a charter member of the Old Plank Baptist Church and church clerk. She was the widow of Jason Otto Palmertree.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Winona. Burial will be in Old Plank Cemetery.
Survivors include a daughter, Martina Palmertree Mayfield and husband, James, of Vaiden; a son, Dr. Hiram D. Palmertree and wife, Ruth Carol, of Baldwyn; a brother, Larry McClellan of Winona; a stepsister, Nellie Bingham Brown of Pensacola, Fla.; six grandchildren, Sharon Tollison and Ramona Tollison Kelly of Vaiden, Harold O. Tollison of Metairie, La., Delese Palmertree Tutor and husband, Mike, of Booneville, Dana Mayfield Moore and husband, Mark, of Oxford, and Jason Palmertree of Baldwyn; five great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Faye Tollison.
Visitation will be from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Old Plank Cemetery Fund, 79 Hwy. 407, Winona, MS 38967.
