Obituary
Billy Gene Bass was born April 22, 1957 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at Sandia Air Force Base. He left this life on December 17, 2020.

Billy was a proud member of the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office for 30 years, retiring at the rank of Captain. He cared very deeply about the public he served and the officers he supervised. Many of his co-workers remained friends for the rest of his life. One of his favorite volunteer acts was being Santa Claus at the school Christmas party for Jane Addams Elementary School.

Billy was a proud member of View Acres Baptist Church and was especially close to Pastor Steve Yowell and Steve's father Bob. For many years, the youth group would come to his house and hand out candy and hot chocolate at Halloween. Billy loved to interact with the children and their parents.

Family was everything to Billy, his physical family, his church family and his family on the Thin Blue Line. If you were in his circle, you were there for life. Billy was a strong believer in God and is now dancing on the streets of gold.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, TSGT (retired) Robert G. Bass and Betty Lou (Hensley) Bass, his grandparents and several beloved aunts and uncles.

He leaves behind his wife of 44 years, Patty; son William Bass and wife Jenni of Weatherford, Texas; son Dr. Christopher Bass and wife Cassandra of Edmond, Oklahoma; grandchildren Justin, Ezekiel, Gabriel and Angelica; sister Bobbi Loveless and husband Dennis, sister Beverly Litterell, brother Bryan Bass and wife Tresa, brother Bret Bass, and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
