Kathleen Kennedy Rowe was born on November 22, 1917 to John and Ida Mai Rowe.

Funeral for Kathleen Kennedy Haney of Decatur were held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Central United Methodist Church with the Rev. Hal Noble officiating.

Burial was held in Roselawn Cemetery with Roselawn Funeral Home directing.

The family received friends from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. The body was taken to the church one hour before the service.

Mrs. Haney died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, at her home. She was born in Limestone County to John and Ida Mae Vaughn Rowe. She met and married Charles Bates Haney on October 22, 1938. They had three children, Joel Lynn and Patricia and John Murray Haney.

She was retired from Security Mutual Finance Co. and a member of Central United Methodist Church and the Good Fellowship Sunday school class. She was the widow of Charles Bates Haney.

She is survived by two sons, Lynn Haney of Decatur and John Haney of Marietta, Ga.; one daughter, Pat Smithson of Decatur; one brother, Charles Hoffman Rowe of Montgomery; and six grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Witty Allen, Jimmy Bentley, Jimmy Haney, Tommy Haney, Greg Rowe and Gene Teal.

Kathleen lived to be 82 years and 2 months and 24 days old.
