Billy "Bill" Gene Payne was born May 17, 1939, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Monroe Albert and Jesse Loraine Payne. He passed away with his boys by his side on Monday, December 21, 2020.

Bill spent his childhood in Snyder and Lubbock, Texas, before moving to Fort Worth where he and wife, Louise raised their family. Bill was a Route Salesman most of his life, retiring from Aramark Uniform Services after nearly 40 years of service. He was a devoted family man, and a great father, son, brother, uncle, and husband to two amazing women, Louise Payne and Edith Payne. Most of all, Bill was a Great Man! He was a friend to everyone who met him and made a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Bill was preceded in death by his father, Monroe Albert Payne; mother, Jesse Loraine Cook; sister, Bettie Galyon; wife, Louise Payne; son, Wayne Carr; daughters, Claudine Carr, Vivian Carr and Debbie Petry.

He is survived by his sister, Bobbie Fritz of El Paso; brother, Donnie and wife, Barbara, of Lubbock; wife, Edith Payne; sons, Glenn and Sharon Carr, Tom and Shiela Payne, Billy and Celina Payne; daughter, April Payne; niece, Carla and Donny Alhsted; 27 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great- grandchild; and many more family and friends.
