Mr. McNeill was born November 28, 1942 in Hoke County to the late William Lacy McNeill and Mary Helen McFadyen McNeill.
He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Philippi Presbyterian Church where he was a Church Elder and Church treasurer.
He is survived by three brothers, Duncan L. McNeill and his wife Linda of Raeford, NC. Neil Angus McNeill and his wife Linda of Fayetteville, GA. James Michael McNeill and his wife Patricia of Raeford, NC; a sister Janet McNeill Desist and her husband Michael of Fayetteville, NC.; six nephews, Russell, Joseph, Patrick, Dwight. Lacy and Lee. three great nephews Aiden, Matthew and Andrew and a great niece Lauren.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, December 20, 2020 at the Raeford Cemetery with Pastor Mike Baker officiating with full military honors.
The family will receive friends after the service at the graveside.
