Funeral services for Carla Gene Owens, age 67, will be held Tuesday, March 15, at 10 a.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
The Bishop Keith Wade and Dr. Barry Sadler will officiate and burial will follow in White Oak Methodist Church Cemetery with Chapman Funeral Home of Eufaula directing.
Mrs. Owns died Saturday, March 12 at her residence in Eufaula.
Born April 8, 1943 in Louisiana she was the daughter of the late Carlos Fitzgerald "Pete" and Victoria Elizabeth Baxter Lunsford.
Mrs. Owens was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she held a calling of President of the Relief Society, Music Director and several other callings.
Survivors include: her husband, Jerry Owens, Eufaula; sons, Michael R. Owens, Troy, Ala., Brian Owens, Troy, Ala., Danny (Katrina) Owens, Dothan, Ala., Aaron Owens, Eufaula, Keith (Kendra) Owens, Dothan, Ala.; daughter, Elizaberth (Allen) Long, Pinkard, Ala.; brother, David (Kathy) Lunsford, Lexington, Ky.; grandchildren, Seth, Eliza, Joseph, Stephanie, Jordan and Jacob.
Active pallbearers will be Michael Owens, Brian Owens, Danny Owens, Aaron Owens, Keith Owens and Allen Long.
