Verna was preceded in death by her husband, Olice Brooks; her Mother, Rosa Lang; her Father, Samuel L. Lang, children; Washie Lee, Robert, Bertha, Vernon Olice, Linda Young, Charles Leon and five other children.
She leaves to cherish her memories: Samuel Brooks, Prentice (Nettie) Brooks, Billy Brooks, Bernadine Alexander, Olice Brooks Jr., Norma (James), Rosie (Robert), Elisha Brooks, 30 grandchildren, 71 great-grandchildren, 50 great-great grandchildren and a host of other dedicated family and friends.
