John Kevin Guthrie was born August 8th, 1967 in Wichita, Kansas the son of Clarence Guthrie and Helen Guthrie (Tacker). He passed from this life on Wednesday, December 23rd, 2020 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He was 53.
John worked at Wal-Mart in the Automotive Department, where he will be greatly missed. He had many friends from the community that would go back to Automotive to pay for their items just to see and visit with John. John loved his family and never missed any of his nieces and nephews big events such as ball games, recitals or graduations. He enjoyed photo opportunities with his friends and family. John was always ready to tell anyone he saw just how proud he was of his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

John is survived by his parents, brother-in-law, Terry Thompson of Warner, nephew, Jeremy Thompson and wife, Brooke, of Sallisaw, niece, Bethany Scott, and husband, Jeremy, of Warner, five great nieces; Gracie, Callie, and Sadie Thompson, Presley and Paisley Scott, great nephew Peyton Scott, and a multitude of aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Earl Davis and Cora Alice (Tacker), paternal grandparents, Virgil Frank and Bertha Mae Guthrie and a sister, Sherry Thompson.

The family will hold a private service for John under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Greenhill Cemetery under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home.
