DECEMBER 10, 1931 – DECEMBER 16, 2020

Barbara Charlene Bishop Jacobs, affectionately known as “Meme”, born December 10, 1931 passed away on December 16, 2020, at the age of 89 years. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 40 years, Garland Jacobs; her father, Charles Leason Bishop; her mother, Daisy Ann Crouch; and her brother, Charles Leason Bishop Jr. She is survived by five children, Cheryl Humbert, John Waits (Donna), Lainey Spooner, Donna Mattingly (Sim), Randy Leslie (Tina), 11 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great- grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Pam Dawson and her children, a brother, David Crouch, a niece, Denise Guest and her child, and a nephew, Charles Bishop III.

Visitation will be held from 11am-2pm on Tuesday, 12-29-20, with a service to follow at 2pm at Evergreen Funeral Home. A celebration of Meme’s life is in planning for Spring/Summer 2021 when gatherings are allowed.
