Dorothy Ann (Kivela) Graves 1935 - 12/13/2020

Dorothy “Dottie” Graves passed away peacefully at her Newcastle home of 50 years with her loving family around her. She was 85.
Born to Lydia & William Kivela in Rudyard, Michigan, Dottie was youngest of 11. She relocated to CA, graduating from San Juan High. She was an Executive Secretary at Allstate, where she met her husband Larry. They married, created a family & enjoyed nearly 60 years together. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother MIL, grandma, great grandma & friend. She was a major contributor to her kids schools including Newcastle Elementary PTA, Frolic organizer, room mom and Brownie/Blue Bird troop leader. Later she organized social gatherings at Angus Hills where she loved to golf. She was artistic, creative & giving, enjoyed dancing with Larry, traveling, crossword puzzles & throwing wonderful events for her family.
She’s survived by her four children166568678, 11 grandchildren & 1 grand child, her sister & brother.
She showed true Finnish SISU throughout her life, and she’s dearly missed.
