Harry C. White of South Windsor, beloved husband of the late Joan D. White died peacefully on Friday, December 18, 2020. Harry was born on July 5, 1931 in Paterson, New Jersey son of the late Harry and Marie (Riedyke) White. He was raised in Paterson and attended local schools until enlisting the US. Army in 1949. Harry was a proud veteran of the Korean War. After four years of service to his country he was honorably discharged in 1952 having earned the rank of Platoon Sergeant. Harry was employed for over 33 years with the Union Carbide Corporation until retiring in 1993 as a Warehouse Supervisor. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 133 in South Windsor.

Harry is survived by his five children, Karen Moberg and her husband John, Laura Letourneau, Kathi Gudmundson and her husband Mark and Robert and Harry White, his two loving grandchildren Rachel M. Gudmundson and James C. Gudmundson and several good friends. In addition to his wife and parents Harry was predeceased by his sister Gracie.

Funeral services and burial with Military Honors in Wapping Cemetery, South Windsor will be private. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post 133, Veterans Relief Fund, PO Box 1030, South Windsor, CT 06074 or to the Disabled American Veterans, 35 Cold Springs Road, Rocky Hill, CT. 06067.
