Jack Adams, 37, an oil well driller was killed in an accident at the oil test being drilled on the Bert Wulfjen ranch, 18 miles south of Colorado City. Services were held at the Colorado City Baptist Church. He had been a member of the Baptist Church since 1921. He had worked in oil fields since 1927 and was employed by S.R.Roberts Drilling Company at Abilene. His parents lived in Albany, Texas in 1945.

Survived by his wife; one son - Larry Lee Adams; his mother - Mrs. Minnie Anderson; one brother - R.H. Adams.

He was living at the Barcroft Hotel in Colorado City, Texas
