Helen Mae Butler, 88, of Randolph, Ohio passed away Saturday at home surrounded by her loving and caring family members on December 19, 2020. Helen Mae was born in Brimfield Township on January 13, 1932 to Cloyd and Gladys (Naylor) Jorden. After graduation at Rootstown High School, she enlisted in the Women's Army Corp and served during the Korean Conflict. She was a proud member of the Ravenna VFW #1055 Auxiliary. She was employed by the General Electric Lamp Plant in Ravenna where she created many lifelong friendships. After her retirement from GE she embarked on a second career of providing care for the elderly up into her 80's. She was well known for her Euchre skills and an avid supporter of the Cleveland Indians and Browns. Survivors include her children Teri Barton Roush (Robert) and Glyn Butler, 2 grandsons, Brian and Sean Barton, 2 great grandsons, Hunter and Easton Barton and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings William Jorden, Robert Jorden, Donna Stahly (Lon) and son-in-law Brian Barton. A private burial was held at Hillside Cemetery in Randolph. The family would like to extend a special Thank you to Tammy Sherner of Home Instead Senior Care for taking such great care of mom. Arrangements have been entrusted to Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel.
