Joey was born in Americus, GA, on April 15, 1968, to Joseph Benjamin Chapman, Sr. and Patricia Ann Dean Chapman. He was the Quality Control Technical Leader for TCI and had been employed there for 24 years. In his spare time, he loved watching NASCAR and cheering on Martin Truex, Jr. Joey loved spending time with his children watching TV and movies. In addition to included, reading and playing poker with friends he enjoyed watching college football, especially Auburn. He was preceded in death by two sons, Jojo Chapman and Jarrett Chapman.
He is survived by his parents, Benny Chapman and Patsy Chapman; by his children, Hillary and Brian Crider of North Augusta, SC, Benjamin Jarret Chapman, Kaelynn Riley Chapman, both of Ellerslie, GA; and Evan Lee Chapman of Ellaville, GA; by a sister, Charmon Chapman of Ellaville, GA; grandchildren, Alahna Crider, Elijah Crider, and Lailah Crider and by a nephew, Tyler Chapman. Also surviving are special friends, Shelby Smith, Steve James, and Mike Hardin as well as numerous other family and friends.
