About the year 1772, Christopher removed to Rockaway, Morris County, and soon afterward was married.
He continued to live at Rockaway until the death of his wife. After this he resided with his son, Peter G. Hoagland, at Dover, NJ, where he died. He was buried by the side of his wife in the burial grounds of the Presbyterian Church in Rockaway. The old Dutch Bible, containing the family record for several generations, has unfortunately been destroyed.
