He is survived by his loving wife Helen; daughter Gail (Ray) Labrosse of Ottawa; son Murray (Wanda) of Calgary; and grandchildren, Kendra and Scott Labrosse.
Gil was born and lived in Calgary. He served overseas in the Army from 1943 to 1945, as well as in the Army Reserves for many years following. Gil retired as a Major and received "The Canadian Decoration". He worked as an Architectural Hardware Consultant and enjoyed his membership with the Lions Club.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Edgemont Retirement Residence as well as to Dr. Slocome and the staff at the Foothills Hospital. A Private Family Service will be held. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to the Alberta Lung Association
