Larry Eugene Stone was born in Fortescue, Missouri on September 27, 1947 to Roy H. Stone, Sr. and Marie (Lundy) Stone. He was one of nine children.

Larry attended school in Fortescue. He served in the United States Army and the Kansas National Guard.

On August 27, 1967 Larry married Sharon L. Gordon, and they became parents of one daughter. They later divorced. He then married Karen (Sturgis) Guyer on March 25, 1995 and became stepdad and grandpa to all her family. They all called him PaPa, which he loved very much.

Larry worked as a meat cutter for several retail stores and retired from Walmart. He also owned and operated Larry's Stop and Shop in Forest City during the 1980's. He enjoyed collecting coins and knives, and especially spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Larry was a member of the 1320 Car Club, and a former member of the Masonic Lodge and the Lions Club. He was currently serving on Forest City's City Council.

On December 18, 2020 Larry passed away at a St. Joseph hospital.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, Sterling William "Bill" Stone, Roy H. "Dude" Stone, Jr., and infant Bobby Stone; sisters, Patsy Jean Maley, Mary Belle Clark, and infant Darlene Marie Stone; and infant grandsons, Michael Lull and Colton Young.

Survivors include his wife, Karen; children, Melanie Redinbaugh, Kay Lull, Dennis (Jamie) Guyer, and Denise (Dan) Young; grandchildren, Cassandra Kridler, Kody, Michaela, and Lakota Lull, Roran Redinbaugh, Chelsey, Rayleigh, and Garrett Guyer; great grandchildren, Scarlett, Tristan, Autumn, and Samuel Kridler, Kiera and Logan Lull, Ruger Elifrits, Wesson Parr, and Issac Knapp; sisters, Becky (Jim) Hawkins and Nancy Siron; and many nieces and nephews.

Family visitation: Monday, December 21, 2020, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Chamberlain Funeral Home, Oregon. Services: Tuesday, December 22, 2020, 10:30 am, Forest City Christian Church. Interment with military honors: Forest City Union Cemetery.
