Dennis Victor Cox, age 99, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2020. Dennis was born and raised in Dudley, England. He was a World War 2 veteran having served in the Royal Air Force. He was stationed in Dayton, Ohio where he met the love of his life, Cynthia Jane Judy. They were married 71 years. Dennis was a kind soul with an engaging smile. He also had a charming sense of humor. Dennis enjoyed playing and watching soccer and golf. He was also an avid reader. Dennis and “Judy” met at a dance and continued their love of dance as square and round dancers. They were charter members of Mighty Fortress Lutheran Church and developed many long friendships with members there. Dennis was preceded in death by his loving wife, “Judy” and daughter, Barbara Jane. He is survived by his children, Victor (Connie) Cox and Debbie (Bob) Fuller: his eight grandchildren Michelle, Penni, Debbi, and Christine, Kimberly and Kelly, Courtney and Melanie: his great grandchildren Kayla, Tristin and Carl III: Summer, Elliot, Penelope and Wesley: Taylor, Cole and Caden: and his great great grandsons Stephan “Hezekiah” and Keegan. A family graveside service with be held Saturday, December 26 with Pastor Ron Wean officiating. A celebration of life service is planned in the near future. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Mighty Fortress Lutheran Church, 2841 E. Dorothy Lane, Dayton, Ohio 45420 or Brookdale Hospice. Services by Tobias Funeral Home, Far Hills, Kettering, Ohio.
