Doyle Glen White, 68, was born on July 29, 1952 in Fresno, California to Nodle Harrison White and Lucille Jackson White. He passed away Monday, December 21, 2020 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Doyle attended grade school at McLain Country School and finished his high school education graduating from Warner High School with the class of 1970. During his summers between school, he hauled square bales of hay for a local baler.

After graduating, Doyle started his employment career at Swift's where he worked from 1970 to 1973. While working at Swift's, he met his future wife through a mutual friend.

Doyle and Kathie were married on August 3, 1973 at the Muskogee County Courthouse. Kathie had two children from a previous marriage that Doyle and his family accepted as their own.

Doyle started working at Coburn Optical Manufacturing in 1973. Then he started full time employment at Fort Howard Paper Company/James River/Georgia Pacific. He was with them through all the name changes. He held that position and retired from Georgia Pacific after 39 years.

Doyle could frequently be seen sitting on the front porch with his momma shooting the breeze, watching the hummingbirds fly by, and waving as people drove by. Some of the things Doyle enjoyed doing was watching OU football games, drinking Mountain Dew, eating a snickers bar or Reese's peanut butter cups. He also enjoyed gardening and most recent, learning how to can green beans and tomatoes, and learning how to fry turnips, just like his momma.

After retirement, Doyle always made sure dinner was ready for Kathie when she came home from work. The thing he was most proud of was being a rancher just like his daddy.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother; and a brother-in-law.

Doyle is survived by his wife, Kathie of the home; sisters, Karen (Glenn) Macomb of McLain, OK, and Anna Castle of Tulsa, OK; sister-in-law, Charlene Rhoades White of Checotah, OK; his three children, Jeff Hungerford of Washington State, Sherry Hungerford Dowdy of Missouri, and April (Heath) Richey of McLain, OK; three granddaughters, Kaila (Devin) Steward of Missouri, Ashley (Garrett) Rhoades of Missouri, and Whitney Nelson of McLain, OK; one grandson, Jacob Nelson of McLain, OK: two great-grandsons, Kamden and Kolten Steward of Missouri; and one great-granddaughter, Olivia Rhoades due in January 2021.

A graveside service celebrating Doyle's life will be 3PM, Monday, December 28, 2020 at McLain Cemetery with Rev. Cardell Coppin officiating. Pallbearers will be Mike Carman, Jacky Reese, Rodney Hyslop, Willis Jackson, Heath Richey, Jacob Nelson, James Statterfield, and Keith Hyslop.
