(June 5, 1967 - December 23, 2020)

Carol Denise Hatten-Ross, 53, of Chattanooga, walked away from this life on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 in the presence of her devoted husband of 23 years, Dr. Fred Ross, III.

She was born from the union of Doris Hatten and the late Roy Hatten in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She was a 1985 Brainerd High School Graduate. Carol accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Union Hill Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. William Ryan.

She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Hatten; and father-in-law, Fred F. Ross, Jr.

Survivors include her husband, Dr. Fred Ross, III; five children, Cierra Hatten-Ross, Chelsé Hatten-Ross, Roderick Ross, Alexis Harris, and Arielle Ross; mother, Doris Hatten; mother-in-law, Laverne Ross, both of Chattanooga; three siblings, Vincent (Deborah) Hatten, Consuela Hatten, and Spencer Hatten; brother-in-law, Leslie (Kim) Ross, all of Chattanooga; eight grandchildren; a host of aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.

Carol will lie-in-state on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 9:30 A.M-5 P.M at Taylor Funeral Home. A viewing will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 9:30 A.M with a funeral service to follow in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home. Interment: Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
