Graveside Services, 3 PM, Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at Parks Crossroads Christian Church, Ramseur.
Officiating, Rev. Ransom Love, Rev. Randy Kelley.
Larry was a native of Chatham County and a longtime resident of Ramseur. He was a common man who possessed an uncommon ability to love others. Larry loved his country and served nine years in the National Guard. He graduated from N.C. State with an Associates Degree and retired from Ramtex after 46 years of service where he was employed as a fixer. Larry was a member of Parks Crossroads Christian Church where he served his church family and friends through baking, making world famous pickles, working at the Food Pantry, caring for people, serving as a Sunday School teacher, a Deacon, a brother in Christ. He was also an adoptive father and grandfather to countless children in the church, and a good friend for many years. Larry loved his family, but most importantly his wife, Denzal, and was a devoted husband to her for 64 years. Above all others, he loved his Savior, Jesus Christ, and spent his life showing Jesus to whomever he came in contact. We will all miss this common man because he loved us is such an uncommon way! Good bye for now until we meet again. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Clarence and Edna Earle Maness Patterson, and sister, Pat Patterson.
Survivors: wife, Denzal Patterson, of the home, brothers, Eugene Patterson, wife, Treva, of Raleigh, Clyde Patterson, wife, Dorothy, of Wilson, Benton Patterson, wife, Marie, of Asheboro, Wrenn Patterson, wife, Helen, of Cary, numerous nieces and nephews.
