William H. Stid was born Feb. 23, 1856 to Van Rensslear (V.R.) Stid & Laura Ann Moorman Stid. William H. Stid was born in Vevay Township in 1856 and died at his farm home 3 miles west of Mason and ½ mile north Sunday morning, Feb. 3, at 8:30 at the age of 79 years.
On July 4,1876 he was united in marriage to Sarah Harris of Dexter. To this union were born 4 children. They are: Mrs. Minnie Howery of Leslie,
Mrs. Olive Hayhoe of Dansville,
Mrs. Pearl Reed of Mason

Other survivors include 2 brothers, George of Leslie and James of Mason and one sister, Mrs. Ida Marquedant of Leslie.
