He was born December 31, 1937 in Wayne City, IL to Paul Bailey and Novella (Dickey) Bailey.
June was a farmer and a heavy equipment operator, he was an FFA Alumni, and he served as Berry Township Road Commissioner for several years. He enjoyed his work farming and operating heavy equipment, camping, taking vacations, and spending time with his family.
June is survived by five children: Diane (Bill) Thomason, Nancy (Rick) Ellis, Patty (Jerry) Caudle, Donna (Tim) Manahan, and Danny (Rachel) Bailey, 12 grandkids, 18 great grandkids, a brother Roy Bailey, a sister Louise Rodatz, and special friend Connie Harrington.
He was preceded in death by both parents, three brothers, and a sister.
Funeral services for June Dickey Bailey will be held at 10 am on Monday, December 28, 2020 at the First Christian Church in Wayne City, IL with Pastor Steve Capps officiating.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 27, 2020 from 5 pm until 8 pm at the church.
Burial will be at Pin Oak Cemetery in Berry Township in Wayne County.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the FFA of Wayne City and will be accepted at the church or at Young Funeral Home in Wayne City, which has been entrusted to provide arrangements.
Please observe all safety precautions when attending the services. The wearing of masks will be required.
