OBITUARY - Eddie Turner Garrett, 67, of Athens passed away Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, at Huntsville Hospital. Mr. Garrett was born May 22, 1945, in Maury County, Tenn. to G.D. Garrett and Era Knight Garrett. The funeral will be at 3 p.m. today at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Donald Terry officiating. Visitation is from 1-3 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Garrett was a member of Church Street Church of Christ in Lewisburg, Tenn. He was preceded in death by his parents, G.D. Garrett and Era Garrett; and brother-in-law Buddy Pyland. Survivors include two daughters, Shelby Sultan and husband, Andrew of Orlando, Fla., and Kelley Suskie and husband Bruce of Little Rock, Ark.; three grandchildren, Preston Carpenter, Baylee Sultan and Bryce Sultan; sister, Faye Garrett Pyland of Columbia, Tenn.; brother, David R. Garrett and wife Linda of Athens; and several nieces and nephews.
