Mr. Johnny Albert Spicer, 81, of Joplin, Missouri, departed this life on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at his residence.
Johnny entered this life on October 14, 1939, in Joplin, Missouri. He was a lifelong area resident and a 1957 graduate of Carterville High School. Johnny worked as a gas station attendant for various service stations throughout his life. On May 23, 1976, he was united in marriage to Juanita Barrett and together they shared thirty-two years before her passing on February 15, 2009. He enjoyed fishing, old movies, puzzle books and country music.
His parents, his wife, Juanita and one sister, preceded him in death.
Johnny is survived by his four children, Margaret Harris and husband, Chester, of Joplin, Brenda Peek of Joplin, Jackie Yeager and husband, Charles, of Webb City, and John Michael Spicer of Carterville; nine grandchildren; several great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; three brothers; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Graveside services and burial were held privately at Carterville Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home in Webb City.
