Muncie - Scott Harold Green, 50, of Muncie, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2020 in Yorktown from a sudden illness while at work.

Scotty was born on May 26. 1970 in Muncie, Indiana. He was a 1988 graduate of Delta High School. Scotty just finished classes at Ivy Tech where he was taking welding courses and aspired to be a teacher. Scotty worked for Townsend Corp. in Yorktown since 2013 and was a self-employed contractor for Townsend for 15 years prior. Scotty had also worked for Meineke Muffler shop for 10 years out of high school. Scotty was the secretary for Stoney Creek Township Board of Trustees and had also coached T-ball, baseball, and Softball for Union School Corp. Scotty loved music, sports, and being outdoors, especially his trips to the beach. Scotty loved to watch his daughter play volleyball. He played golf, paintball, and enjoyed hunting mushrooms and arrowheads. Scotty also enjoyed working with his hands and building things. Scotty never met a stranger and loved to socialize.

Greenie is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Teresia (Smith) Green; two children, Mason James Green of Durango, CO and Mallory Evelene Green of Ft. Wayne; an adopted daughter, Ruth Addington of Winchester; his mother, Janice Maurine (Hutchison) Jones (husband Bob) of Royerton; his father, James E. Green (wife Lillie) of Muncie; father-in-law, Bill Smith (wife Marcena) of Royerton; brother, Michael Green (wife Kelly) of Gaston; sister-in-law, Sheila Eller (husband Sam) of Hastings, FL; brother-in-law, Ron Smith (wife Cindy) of Eaton; and 15 nieces and nephews, Justin, Jordan, Isla, Arya, Jessica, Megan (Steven), Maddie, Faith, Samara, Atticus, Whitney (Keith), Carson, Braden, Elle, and Taylor.

Scotty was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold and Bobbie Hutchison; grandfather, Charles Green; grandmother, Elda Money-Harpst; mother-in-law, Millie Evelene Smith; nephew, Tony; aunt, Hadley; and good friend, Brian Reum.

Funeral services for Scotty will be private.
