Arthur Earl Edwards was born on June 9, 1959 to Lubertha Bynum and John Edwards in Farmville, North Carolina.

Arthur Earl Edwards was affectionately known to all as “Earl,” his smile will never be forgotten.

Earl attended James Hill House High School. Shortly after his graduation in June 1977, he enlisted in the United States Army. He served in Germany for seven years; after an unforeseen injury, Earl was honorably discharged.

Earl enjoyed reaching out faithfully to family and friends with his daily calls, which will be dearly missed. He enjoyed cooking, bowling, and watching his favorite football team, the New England Patriots,” but most importantly, spending time with his family.

Earl was married to Ms. LaQuan Moore.

Earl was preceded in death by his grandparents: (Maternal) Mamie L. & Oscar Bynum, Jr.; (Paternal) Etta Belle & Jessie Edwards; Father: John Edwards; Granddaughter: Myla Steele.

Earl leaves to cherish his fond memories, his loving mother, Ms. Lubertha Edwards-Hill of Hamden, CT; his 5 children, Sanjaee (Brie) Edwards, Ashley Edwards and Tarrell Ramsey of Cleveland, Ohio, Shanice Fauntleroy of Dayton, Ohio and Shontae Edwards of New Haven, CT; his 15 grandchildren all of Ohio; his 3 siblings, Cynthia Atkins (Vandell) of Brooklyn, NY, Gary A. Edwards (Sherita) of Hamden, CT and Jamie Edwards (Kim) of New Haven, CT; his 7 aunts and 4 uncles; 6 nieces and 1 nephew; 3 great nieces and 6 great nephews; and a host of cousins, relatives and friends; and a very special friend, Sanjanette Ramsey.
