Catherine Lewis Freeman, 96, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2020. She was a devoted member of Smyrna Baptist Church.

Catherine was born on April 6, 1924 to the late James Oliver (Boss) and Nettie Iola Lewis in Reliance, TN.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved children, Stephen Ray Freeman, Margerat Lucille Wilson and Ruth Marie Wood.

Survivors include her children, James I. Freeman, Jr. and Martha S. Casson; 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; many great, great, grandchildren and a host of friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Jimmy Parm officiating. Floyd Casson, Steve Hufford and Jeff Bivens will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Higgins Funeral Home of Benton.
