Walter C. Kelly, 78, of Baldwinsville was born and raised in Syracuse, NY, and passed away peacefully at Crouse Hospital the evening of December 20.

Walter was an avid outdoorsman who loved spending time fishing, camping, and traveling. He was also passionate about all things automotive. He was employed by General Motors for 30 years and belonged to the UAW Local 845. In addition, Walter was a proud former Fairmount firefighter. All who knew him will miss his infectious smile and his quick sense of humor.

Walter is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Gloria, and their three children, Laurie (Eric) Noll, Walter Kevin, and Richard. He also leaves behind five grandchildren, Nicole, Rebecca, Walter, Matthew, and Kevin; a bright-eyed great-grandchild, JR.; a devoted sister, Clara, (Joseph) Duczeminski; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners will be held in the spring.
