Janet M. Clements, age 87, of Hamilton, went to her Heavenly Home on Monday, December 21, 2020.
Janet was born March 27, 1933 in Monticello, Kentucky to Ramie and Eva Cross. She graduated from Wayne County High School and Lindsey Wilson College.
She and her husband Kenneth Dishman moved to Hamilton in 1956. She was employed by the Holland Evening Sentinel for 20 years. Moved to North Carolina in 1977. Worked as operations officer at a bank from which she retired. She was a member of Haven Reformed Church where she dearly loved her host of church family.
She was preceded in death by her husbands; Kenneth Dishman and Garland Clements; two infant children; her parents; sister, Annetta Cross; and brother, Joe Edd Cross.
She is survived by her loving son, Joe Martin "Marty" Dishman and his wife Ruth (Zeeland); one granddaughter; four great-grandchildren; sister-in-law; a niece and nephew; stepchildren; grandchildren in North Carolina; and many close friends.
Per her request she will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery in Hamilton.
A memorial service is scheduled for 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Riverside Cemetery with Rev. Michael Drew officiating.
