Shirley, 67, of Wharton, Texas was born on July 9, 1953 in Houston, Texas to the late Arnold Theodore & Dorris LaVaughn (Gravos) Beissert. Shirley proudly attended CyFair High School until meeting her soulmate and later marrying Chester Lee Powers in 1971. Shirley worked hard most of her life in the food industry. She was well-known for her contagious smiles and laughter. She made friends with everyone she met. Shirley was kind and loving to all she met.
